At Pet Fostering Service Scotland, we know that even a small bit of support can make a huge difference. For pet owners facing homelessness or temporary housing crises, knowing that their beloved animals are safe, cared for, and loved can bring peace of mind during incredibly stressful times.
We are delighted to share that PFSS has been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. This funding will help us continue our work supporting pets and the people who love them, providing temporary foster homes when they need them most.
Why This Support Matters
When someone loses their home, the uncertainty can be overwhelming. For pet owners, this fear is doubled – who will look after their pet while they rebuild their lives? Many people cannot afford kennels, and not all temporary accommodations accept pets. That’s where our service comes in, offering a safe, nurturing environment for animals while their owners find stability.
The grant from The National Lottery Community Fund allows us to expand our reach, provide more resources for foster carers, and ensure that no pet is left behind because of circumstances beyond their owner’s control.
A Thank You to the Community
We are deeply grateful to The National Lottery and everyone who plays a part in funding projects like ours. Their support enables us to continue bringing comfort and security to pets and reassurance to their owners at a time when it’s needed most.
This grant is not just a boost for our service – it’s a reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together to support those in need. With kindness, compassion, and practical help, we can make an enormous difference.
Could You Be Part of That Difference?
Our work relies on the generosity of foster carers and volunteers. By opening your home temporarily, you can provide safety, stability, and hope to a pet – and peace of mind to an owner who needs it most. Sometimes, the greatest gift isn’t a permanent solution, it’s simply being there when someone needs help.
